Bring the paperwork required for your Wyoming road test and next credential. Missing required documents can postpone the skills test.
WYDOT examiners verify every document before your skills test. This checklist covers all road test paperwork requirements.
You must present these items at the exam station.
Do you need Form 10-4003 again when moving from a permit to the next credential? Use the current Wyoming Credential Application when the next credential transaction requires a new application. For an Intermediate Permit, the application must include the applicable parent or guardian signature and required certification.
Yes. WYDOT says an Intermediate Permit applicant must present the appropriate Real ID documents when applying for that credential, even if the applicant previously held a Wyoming learner permit.
The car you use for the test must have current paperwork.
Complete Wyoming permit details are on the Wyoming permit guide.
Yes. Wyoming law allows qualifying electronic proof of insurance. Make sure the proof is accessible and current when the vehicle is checked.
Applicants using the Intermediate Permit path need the minor/graduated-license paperwork that applies to that credential.
No. For the Intermediate Permit path, the required item is certification of the 50 supervised driving hours, including 10 at night. WYDOT lists the separate Behind-the-Wheel Driving Log as optional.
WYDOT states that the Intermediate Permit application must be signed by a parent or guardian. Its public learner-permit page does not separately say the parent or guardian must remain for the entire skills test. If the signer will not attend, confirm the exam station's procedure before test day.
If a required document is missing or invalid, the exam station may be unable to complete the road test or credential transaction that day. Check the required paperwork before you leave.
